Isabel Mestres, CEO of City Cancer Challenge, highlighted how locally led, city-based initiatives can strengthen cancer care systems in lower-resource settings. Her organisation works across the full care continuum - from diagnosis to treatment and data systems - engaging all stakeholders to identify gaps and implement sustainable solutions. Sharing the example of Tbilisi, she demonstrated how collaborative, ground-up projects can improve quality, training, and access to cancer care, regardless of where patients live.
