A high-level panel on the cost-effectiveness of cancer care brought together Matti Aapro, Sandra Gallina, Stella Kyriakides and Chris McCabe, moderated by Marzia Zambon, CEO of Europa Donna. The discussion focused on what “value” in healthcare truly means and who is accountable for spending decisions. Speakers stressed that health must remain a political priority, warning of widening inequalities in access to medicines and care across Europe, particularly as EU funding structures evolve. Their shared message was clear: stronger advocacy, cross-sector collaboration, and united action are essential to safeguard universal access, quality cancer care, and sustainable health systems for the future.
